Agility Robotics becomes the first pure-play humanoid robot company listed in the US
On November 2, 2026, shareholders of Churchill Capital Corp XI (Nasdaq: CCXI) approved the merger with Agility Robotics with more than 84% of votes cast; the deal was formalised on November 4, when Agility announced the completion of the business combination and the ticker change. Since November 5, shares and warrants of the new entity, Agility Robotics, Inc., have traded on Nasdaq under the symbols AGLT and AGLTW.
Gross proceeds from the transaction come to about $465 million: $164 million from the SPAC trust, $201 million from a Foxconn-led PIPE at $10 per share, and $100 million in equity already received after the deal was announced. That is below the more than $620 million cited in an October release assuming zero redemptions; according to secondary sources, the gap is consistent with redemptions by SPAC shareholders. Agility states a 180-day lock-up on existing shares and on the sponsor's shares.
In its November 5 release, the company reports more than $300 million in committed multi-year orders for Digit 5, contingent on contractual milestones, functionality and product specifications. According to TechCrunch, Digit 5 prototypes have not yet been shown publicly and customer names have not been disclosed. Early customer access is planned for the first half of 2027, with general availability by the end of the year. Agility also points to a pipeline of more than 30 prospective customers, over 100,000 totes moved at a GXO facility in Georgia, and Digit's arrival at two more GXO logistics sites in the US in early 2027. Its RoboFab factory in Salem, Oregon, roughly 70,000 sq ft, would be able to build up to 10,000 robots a year.
TechCrunch reports revenue of $174,000, mostly from related parties, and a loss of $362 million in the first six months of 2026, but these figures do not appear in the official releases and their source is not given. The $2.5 billion pre-money valuation is cited only by secondary sources. In short: Agility goes public with about $465 million in gross capital and announced orders for a product expected in 2027, but revenue is still minimal; the financials and the details of the Digit 5 contracts have yet to be verified.

- I read the SEC filing (Churchill Capital Corp XI 8-K, Exhibit 99.1, dated 11/2/2026: vote, capital structure, tickers and expected dates) and Agility's official releases of November 4 (merger completed) and November 5 (trading begins as AGLT/AGLTW, Digit 5 orders, RoboFab, lock-up). As an independent source I used TechCrunch's November 5 piece (Tim Fernholz), which confirms the listing and adds figures and quotes from an interview with Peggy Johnson; its figures not found in the primary sources are flagged as uncertain. Discarded: the Nature study on weather forecasting (dated October 14, outside the 7-day window) and openai.com pages (403 error, not verifiable).

- The merger closing and the start of trading as AGLT come from Agility's releases (the November 5 one says trading begins “today”); I did not read a closing 8-K or a Nasdaq notice and have no first-day price or volume data. The financials ($174,000 in revenue, a $362 million loss in H1 2026) come only from TechCrunch, which does not cite a source; I did not check them against the S-4 prospectus. The $300+ million in Digit 5 orders depends on contractual milestones and product specifications; TechCrunch notes the prototypes have not been shown publicly and the customers have not been named. TechCrunch describes the origin of the $465 million (retail investors plus a private tranche) differently from the official breakdown (trust, Foxconn-led PIPE, $100 million already received). The $2.5 billion pre-money valuation appears only in secondary sources.

- It is the first US listing of a company focused solely on humanoid robots: a test of how much public markets value AI applied to physical robots. The story is well documented (SEC filing and official releases) and lets us set the promises ($300 million in orders, 10,000 robots a year) against today's numbers (minimal revenue, a product not yet shown).
