Natively multimodal, woven through the entire Google ecosystem.

Olya's profile
What sets it apart
Natively multimodal: text, images, audio and video in one model, not bolt-on modules glued together afterward. The context window reaches a million tokens on paid plans, so it swallows whole documents or codebases in one pass. But the real differentiator is that it lives inside Gmail, Docs, Android and Search — it isn't an app you open, it's an assistant already where you work.
Strengths
The very long context and genuine multimodality make it comfortable for reasoning over bulky material. Workspace integration spares you the copy-paste shuffle between tools. And the free tier is generous: Flash as the default model, limited Pro access, Deep Research, image generation and Live voice all included.
When to use it
Worth it if you already live in the Google ecosystem and want the assistant inside your mail, docs and phone. Excellent when you must feed it a lot of text — contracts, papers, logs — thanks to the million-token context, and for multimodal tasks mixing images or audio.
When to avoid it
If you value privacy or handle sensitive data, Google's pervasive integration is convenience and dependency at once. The plans are a maze (Plus, Pro, two Ultra tiers) and billing shifted to compute-based limits, less legible than the old daily caps. If you don't use Workspace much of the advantage evaporates, and alternatives like ChatGPT or Claude are just as valid.
